To support our growth and continue our trailblazing innovations, we're seeking a Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about crafting and optimizing our data infrastructure. This role is crucial for harnessing data-driven insights to propel our brand into new territories.

Role Overview:
As the Senior Data Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to establish and manage our entire data stack from the ground up. This role involves leading the architectural design sessions to create a modern data stack that integrates seamlessly with our future technology ecosystem. Your work will lay the foundation for advanced analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making that will support Lofty Style's global expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and optimize data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with advanced cloud platforms and technologies, including AWS, Databricks, ADLS, Snowflake, and cloud-native databases.
-Utilize your expertise in scripting languages (Python, R, Java, Scala) and big data tools (Hive, Spark SQL, Databricks, Delta Lake) to drive advanced data analytics and insights.
-Implement ETL technologies and SQL for complex data transformations and stored procedures, enhancing our data processing capabilities with a special focus on Snowflake's unique features.
-Promote and implement Dev/Ops practices, creating a culture of continuous integration and delivery within the data engineering team.
-Lead projects involving real-time or near real-time data ingestion, employing strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala to meet our dynamic data requirements.
-Champion the delivery of software and data engineering projects, serving as a subject matter expert and leader within the team.
-Communicate effectively, maintaining excellent oral and written communication skills for successful cross-functional collaboration and strategy articulation.
-Adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies, embracing Agile/Scrum practices and demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.




Qualifications:

-MS or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
-Extensive experience in data engineering, with specific proficiency in Spark, Python, PySpark, Hadoop, Kafka, and notably, Snowflake and Databricks and Dataiku.
-Demonstrated success in delivering complex data engineering projects.
-Deep knowledge of scripting languages, ETL technologies, SQL, big data tools, and Dev/Ops practices.
-Exceptional communication skills, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and the ability to swiftly adapt to new technologies.
