For this role, the person will be responsible for designing and delivering dynamic aquatic and physical education programs that promote physical fitness, water safety, and a lifelong commitment to healthy lifestyles. This dual role also includes overseeing the school’s aquatics facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and organizing aquatic events.

AQUATICS:
- Program Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive swimming program for students from Lower School to High School, focusing on water safety, survival skills, stroke development, and specialized aquatic activities such as water polo and rescue skills.
- Facility Management: Collaborate with the maintenance team to uphold water quality, temperature, and safety protocols in alignment with ABNT standards.
- Medical Compliance: Work with administrators and parents to meet legal requirements for medical clearances for pool use.
- Scheduling: Develop and manage the pool usage schedule in collaboration with PE teachers to ensure balanced access across educational levels.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and mentor lifeguards, pool technicians, and interns, fostering professional growth and ensuring the safety and organization of materials and equipment.
- Event Management: Partner with the Athletics Department to plan and host swimming competitions, including athlete registration, event scheduling, and logistical coordination.
TEACHING:
- Curriculum Design: Plan and execute age-appropriate, standards-based, and conceptually driven physical education and swimming lessons for K-12 students.
- Collaboration: Co-teach lessons with PE teachers, tailoring teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.
- Assessment: Conduct evaluations with other teachers to provide comprehensive feedback on student progress.
- Engagement: Promote an inclusive and encouraging environment that supports students' physical, social, and emotional development.
- Program Innovation: Incorporate creative, fitness-based aquatics activities, and underwater sports into the curriculum.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a teaching license
- Certification in Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instruction, or Pool Operations (required)
- Regional Council Of Physical Education (CREF) Number
-Proven experience teaching PE and aquatic programs in a school setting.
- Leadership experience in organizing and managing swimming events and aquatic facilities.
